Course Purpose: The purpose of this course is to assist the student to undertake a deeper and genuinely biblical study of spiritual warfare within the context of the Christian life so that they acquire an understanding regarding the nature of spiritual warfare, and identify and describe strategies for overcoming the enemy, and to develop the student’s ability to summarize the nature of spiritual warfare and evaluate various strategies for overcoming the enemy.
Biblical Research & Writing RW-1501-OLS
Course Objectives: 1. To present the student with an opportunity to read, research, and then write on the content of the Books of Genesis and Revelation, including a generic overview of the various methods of interpreting the historic and eschatological implications. 2. To present the student with the basics of good research and writing which will allow him or her to understand the essentials of Bible College level research and writing. 3. To assist the student to be prepared to research, write on, and then competently teach the Books of Genesis and Revelation in a ministry situation.
Biblical Apologetics BAP-1510-OLS
The purpose of this course is to develop the student’s understanding of the requisite issues in the study of Apologetics; to enable the student to identify key terms and describe essential issues of Apologetics and to apply Apologetic methodology to contemporary challenges; to offer the student the opportunity to explore significant challenges to the Christian faith and apologetic responses to those challenges; to examine and analyze the competing truth claims of rival world views.
Biblical Role & Function of the Pastor FP-1500-OLS
Course Purpose: The purpose of this course is to introduce the biblical role and function of the pastor in the local church so that the pastor can stand on “biblical foundation” in the performance of that role and function. This course is designed to focus the student on the pastoral role in light of scriptural teaching so as to overcome the many erroneous and damaging philosophies of pastoring. This course also discusses pastoral development, families, and potential traps and pitfalls.

Pastoral Ethics - PE-1500-OLS
Course Purpose: Ethical, moral, and pastoral issues that affect pastors and others in positions of pastoral responsibility will be examined throughout this course. A variety of ethical issues will be addressed from various perspectives including biblical and theological. Students will be taught the ethical obligations that those in pastoral positions should assume in their personal and professional life.
Essentials (Fundamentals) in Biblical Counseling
Course Purpose: To introduce the student to the concepts of multidimensional Biblical counseling. The student will have the opportunity to recognize, identify and recite these concepts, and to recognize important differences with other counseling theories.
Biblical Preaching and Personal Holiness BP-1501-OLS
Course Purpose: This course focuses on how preaching is effective in leading Christians toward maturity. Messages on Christian growth and sanctification will be modeled, and there will be instructional elements dealing especially with the dynamics of preaching in the local church.
